Monthly Favorites March Edition

My monthly favorites is a list of items I’m loving, things that are inspiring me, and some practical goal-setting tools.

Planner Stuff I’m Loving

In March we started to social distance, and plans became non-existent. I’ve reached for my Coiled Notebooks more than once to jot down lists and help guide my day. Since very few plans are set in stone I’ve loved the flexibility of Avery Ultra Tabs in my Coiled Notebooks, planners and journals.

RECIPIES I COOKED

John Michael celebrated his birthday in quarantine this year. We stayed in, took the day-off work, and watched so many movies. We relished in the simple joy of being together, and I cooked a Lemon Asparagus Risotto for dinner!

Quick Tip: After you cook the risotto, spoon it into a casserole dish, set the oven 400 and sprinkle some bread crumbs on top, and bake for 10 minutes- to spice it up.

Things I’ve Read

I have a goal to read 12 books this year, and honestly I haven’t even started. But I’m sharing two articles I read last month that I find so important right now.

The Unexpected Joy of Repeat Experiences

How to Accept a Compliment — Even if It’s From Yourself

Fitness Goals I’m crushing

I started the year by running a marathon, and since then I’ve put a lot of pressure on myself to maintain that peak of fitness. It’s not sustainable right now. So in March I’m focused on starting to running frequently again 2-3 days a week.

How I’m checking in with goals

It’s a weird time for goal-setting this month. I still don’t know how to approach it. My mom always told me that during pivotal moments in life write down everything. So I’ve turned to my journal to document statistics, daily notes, and my feelings. It’s not pretty and everyday looks different. But, it’s already been fascinating to see how things change week to week.
