Privacy Policy

Last Updated: September 3, 2026

This Privacy Policy is provided by Ladouceur Enterprises, LLC, doing business as “Plan With Laur” and “Weddings With Laur” (the “Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). We value our users’ privacy, and this Privacy Policy is designed to help you understand how we collect, use, and safeguard the information you provide to us so you can make informed decisions when using our Service.

For purposes of this Agreement, “Site” refers to the Company’s website, accessible at www.planwithlaur.com, and any related sites or landing pages we operate under the Plan With Laur or Weddings With Laur names.

“Service” refers to the Company’s services accessed via the Site, including inquiries about live event content creation and videography services, purchase of short-form video editing packages and digital download products, and blog content with tips, tricks, and opinions about planners, weddings, and organization.

The terms “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the Company. “You” refers to you, as a user of our Site or our Service.

By accessing our Site or our Service, you accept this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service, and you consent to our collection, storage, use, and disclosure of your Personal Information as described in this Privacy Policy.

CHANGES TO OUR PRIVACY POLICY

The Company reserves the right to change this policy and our Terms of Service at any time. We will notify you of significant changes by sending a notice to the primary email address on your account, or by placing a prominent notice on the Site. Significant changes go into effect thirty (30) days following such notification. Non-material changes or clarifications take effect immediately. You should periodically check the Site and this page for updates.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We collect “Non-Personal Information” and “Personal Information.” Non-Personal Information includes information that cannot be used to personally identify you — anonymous usage data, general demographic information we may collect, referring/exit pages and URLs, platform types, and preferences generated based on the data you submit. Personal Information includes information such as your name and email address, and, where applicable and voluntarily provided, information such as age or location, as well as the type of browser you are using, your IP address, or your operating system, which helps us provide and maintain the Service.

i. Information Collected by Technology

To activate the Service, you generally only need to submit your email address. To use the Service further, you may need to submit additional Personal Information as described above. To improve the quality of the Service, we track information provided to us by your browser or our software when you view or use the Service — the referring URL, browser type, device, and the time and date of access — none of which personally identifies you on its own. We use cookies (small text files with an anonymous unique identifier) to collect this information and to remember your preferences.

The Company may use both persistent cookies (which remain until you delete them) and session cookies (which expire when you close your browser).

ii. Information You Provide by Registering for an Account

In addition to information collected automatically, if you purchase a package you may need to create a personal profile by registering with the Service and providing your email address. By registering, you authorize us to collect, store, and use your email address in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

iii. Children’s Policy

The Site and the Service are not directed to anyone under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from anyone under 13. If we learn that we have gathered personal information from a child under 13 without verified parental consent, we will delete that information as soon as reasonably possible. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us immediately at lauren@planwithlaur.com.

Note: In June 2025, the FTC finalized amendments to the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Rule (COPPA), broadening the definition of “personal information” to include biometric identifiers, tightening requirements around third-party data sharing, and requiring a written information security program for any operator that knowingly collects data from children under 13. We do not knowingly collect such data, but we are stating our continued compliance with the amended Rule (full compliance required by regulated operators as of April 22, 2026) as a matter of good practice.

HOW WE USE AND SHARE INFORMATION

Personal Information: Except as otherwise stated in this Privacy Policy, we do not sell, trade, rent, or otherwise share your Personal Information with third parties for marketing purposes without your consent. We do share Personal Information with vendors performing services for the Company — for example, our email service providers, who are given access to your email address solely to send communications on our behalf, and only at our direction and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

We use Personal Information to communicate with you, to respond to questions, solicit feedback, provide support, and inform you about promotional offers.

We may share Personal Information with outside parties if we have a good-faith belief that doing so is reasonably necessary to comply with legal process or a governmental request; to enforce our Terms of Service, including investigating potential violations; to address fraud, security, or technical concerns; or to protect against harm to the rights, property, or safety of our users or the public, as required or permitted by law.

Non-Personal Information: We use Non-Personal Information to improve the Service and customize user experience, and we may aggregate it to analyze trends and usage patterns. This Policy does not limit our use or disclosure of Non-Personal Information.

If we undergo a business transaction such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your Personal Information may be among the assets transferred, subject to this Policy (or its successor). If our information practices change materially, we will post the changes to the Site.

HOW WE PROTECT INFORMATION

We implement security measures designed to protect your information from unauthorized access, including encryption, firewalls, and secure socket layer (SSL) technology where sensitive information is transmitted. Your account is also protected by your password — please keep it confidential and log out after each use. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and by using the Service you acknowledge and accept this inherent risk.

As a New York-based business, we also maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information consistent with New York’s Stop Hacks and Improve Electronic Data Security Act (the “SHIELD Act”). Only employees who need information to perform a specific job (such as billing or client support) are granted access to personally identifiable information.

YOUR RIGHTS REGARDING THE USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

You may opt out of marketing communications at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions in any promotional email, or by contacting us directly at lauren@planwithlaur.com. Notwithstanding an opt-out, we may continue to send administrative emails — for example, updates to this Privacy Policy or matters relating to a purchase you’ve made.

We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Depending on your state of residence, you may have additional statutory privacy rights (for example, under the California Consumer Privacy Act or similar state laws). We do not currently believe our business meets the revenue or data-volume thresholds that trigger most state comprehensive privacy statutes, but regardless of threshold, we will make reasonable, good-faith efforts to honor requests to access, correct, or delete your personal information — contact us at the email above to make a request.

LINKS TO OTHER WEBSITES

The Service may link to or be compatible with other websites or applications. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties, and this Policy does not apply to information collected by them. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party site before using it.

DURATION OF RETENTION OF OBTAINED INFORMATION

We retain your data no longer than necessary, based on: how long it remains relevant; how long we need it to demonstrate we’ve fulfilled our obligations; applicable limitation periods for claims; retention periods required by law or recommended by regulators; the nature of our relationship with you; and your consent and our legitimate interests.

NOTICE TO INTERNATIONAL USERS

Ladouceur Enterprises, LLC operates primarily in the United States. If you provide information to us from outside the United States, including from the European Union or United Kingdom, that information will be transferred to and processed in the United States. We have not self-certified under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework (or its UK or Swiss extensions) with the U.S. Department of Commerce, and we do not claim its protections. By providing personal information to us, you acknowledge and consent to this transfer, storage, and processing in the United States.

YOUR RIGHTS AS A DATA SUBJECT (GDPR)

If the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies to your personal data, you have the following rights, which you may exercise by emailing lauren@planwithlaur.com:

  • The right to be informed — how we intend to use your data, as described in this Policy.
  • The right of access — to request the data we hold about you; we will respond within one month.
  • The right to rectification — to correct inaccurate data we hold about you.
  • The right to erasure — to request deletion of your data, which we will honor unless we have a compelling reason not to (in which case we will explain why).
  • The right to restrict processing — to change your communication preferences or opt out of certain processing.
  • The right to data portability — to obtain a copy of your data for your own purposes.
  • The right to object — to formally object to our processing of your information, including where our legal basis is legitimate interest.

We aim to encrypt and anonymize personal information where possible, and we have protocols in place in the event of a data breach, including notifying affected individuals as required by law.

SECURITY

When you submit sensitive information via the Site, it is encrypted and transmitted securely (look for “https” and a lock icon in your browser’s address bar). Offline, only employees who need the information for a specific job function have access to it, and the systems on which we store it are kept in a secure environment.

ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

By using this website, you accept the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Site. Continued use of the Site following any posted updates constitutes your acceptance of those updates.
